Our stay was great. Everything was clean and look like the photos. Very close to pier. Great neighbors who helped and said if we need anything just ask. Will recommend this place and will stay here again.

John's house has one of the best locations, very convenient and not far from shops & restraunts but also not on an extremely busy street. Beach access at your feet. The elevator was one of the best amenities. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need. Nice audio system and streaming services provided. Hot tub was amazing and very clean! We really enjoyed our time, felt at home and cant wait to go back! 😁

Beautiful home right on the beach! ☀️🩷🍧 The view from the deck was beautiful and made for a peaceful place to relax. There are a lot of surfers and the house sits near the pier which is fun to watch, but it’s tucked away enough to feel like your own private oasis. Fully stocked kitchen, linen closet and beach supplies - they have everything you could need and then some! Quick access to so many shops and the pier. Hosts were communicative, responsive and lovely. We felt right at home :) 🏡

Picturesque beachfront home. Expansive deck space for gathering and relaxing. The home is well stocked with all kitchen gadgets, pots and pans and every cupboard and drawer labeled. We didn’t need to bring a thing. Ample linens for personal use and for beach! Really nice to have access to that. I would recommend bringing your own shampoos and soaps for showers. Plenty of hand soap and dish detergent available. If staying for a week, bring extra TP and paper towels. Location is ideal for walks on the beach. Our dog absolutely loved walking on the beach multiple times a day and people watching from the deck. The deck is gated to the beach and to the parking area below the house so he couldn’t get out. He is a big boy, but little dogs could escape if not leashed on the me deck. Easy walkability to grocery and dining. John was super responsive and available at all times. His house manger Christine also responded very quickly was kind as well! This was a great relaxing beach getaway!

This was our first time visiting surf city and we loved it! This house is absolutely beautiful. You can’t beat the views. It was close to everything we needed.

My friends and I are a great stay only downside is we couldn’t stay longer! Love being beachfront and good location. We brought our bikes (highly recommend) and could bike to the southern tip of the beach at the inlet, where we saw dolphins, schools of fish and birds diving in the water. There is a sandbar you can walk out on at low tide too. Also bikeable to the northern side where the restaurants, bars and shops of surf city are. Great food and vibes all around in surf city. John’s place had everything we needed and was very comfortable, we loved the hot tub in the evening after a day at the beach! Also loved that we could bring our dogs and the house was equipped with gates for them. Recommend a stay at John’s place!

Had a wonderful week at Purple Haze! The house was spotless and had everything we needed including beach towels, toiletries, puzzles and a grill. We brought our 2 pups and greatly appreciated the gates on either end of the front porch and at the base of the stairs. For a pet friendly home it showed no signs of wear and tear or smell from dogs! The location of the house was excellent, with a small beach access lot directly across the street (which was fun to people watch during our long hangouts on the front porch), a short walk to stores and food spots, we could even spot the house as we were exiting the bridge. Communication was excellent, with the housekeeper texting us instructions and even informing us we could check in an hour early if we wanted. We had a little snag with the downstairs storage room’s lock, but our text was promptly responded to and help was on the way soon after. Overall this was such a relaxing and fun stay. We will definitely recommend this home to friends!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, and the elevator was so convenient. The view and access to the beach was the highlight of our stay. Even if just sitting on the porch, you’re basically on the beach with a front row seat! It’s incredible. We also appreciated the hot tub, and available items like beach chairs and kids toys. We will definitely return!

Our family of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids) had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location of the house is perfect - right on the beach! With two small children we greatly appreciated the baby gates outside and inside, and well as the swings and direct beach access. Inside the house is perfect, clean, spacious and welcoming, with plenty of beach towels. A big thank you to John for being such a wonderful host! We are already dreaming about when we’ll be back. Highly recommended!

Thank you to Kaley for making my daughter's dream a reality. She has always wanted to stay at a girly house at the beach for her 7th birthday! Not only did they allow her small daytime gathering but they also gave us an early check in and late check out! The house is so cute and the "walk" to the beach I wouldn't consider a walk at all, it's RIGHT THERE! I was worried about parking but the driveway wraps around the house and there was plenty!
